JASON & REBECA OTTESON

Executive Directors

Jason and Rebeca Otteson met in Mexico while on a mission trip. Their love of Christ has sparked multiple adventures with Him, none bigger than the Otteson family. They live in Austin, Texas, and are proud parents to five wonderful children. They are active in their church community and involved in local ministries to reach high school kids. The Ottesons boldly place their trust in Christ the King.

 Jason is a passionate outdoorsman and his sense of adventure has sparked innovative ideas and successful companies in multiple industries. You might have even seen him on the hit Discovery’s Channel reality show “Gold Rush.” During Seasons Two and Three, Jason’s track record of launching startups into multi-million-dollar companies allowed him to invest in the Yukon dreams of four gold-mining crews. His experiences in Alaska have also allowed the Ottesons to spend many summers in Alaska as a family working side by side.

Jason’s family lives out the mission of Momentous. The oldest two of the Otteson children are now in college. Their transition from high school to their respective gap years and the desire for more sparked an idea.  Jason and Rebeca began to dream of a different way to do college while having community in the body of Christ. These desires and dreams are the roots of the vision behind Momentous.
